Dokuz Eylul University School of Foreign Languages got its new building in Tınaztepe Campus. Stating that they are happy to bring the investment that will start a new era in qualified foreign language education, which was completed with an investment of approximately 50 million TL, DEU Rector Prof. Nükhet Hotar said, «Our building, which we see as a modern work of art, will serve in accordance with the foreign language preparation program at our university, various courses, trainings, and national and international language exams.» Turkey’s well-established university, Dokuz Eylül University , which continues its investments and activities without interruption, has brought another investment to our country and İzmir.

The School of Foreign Languages Building, which was completed for approximately 50 million TL within the scope of DEU’s 2022 Investment Plan, met with its students at DEU Tınaztepe Campus. DEU Rector Prof. Saying that they are happy to put the School of Foreign Languages Building into service in the 40th year of the university, DEU Rector Prof. Nükhet Hotar said, «We think that our investment, which will start a new era in quality foreign language education, which we have brought to our country and our Beautiful İzmir, will be an important part of our internationalization strategy. »

In fact, our institution, which was a pilot in the Internationalization Strategy Document of YÖK, was carrying out studies that would increase the awareness of our country with its teaching and research activities and successfully represent our Turkish scientific world. Our Research University mission and our country’s goals envisaged in the 11th Development Plan caused us to accelerate our plans.

DEU SCHOOL OF FOREIGN LANGUAGES BUILDING

The School of Foreign Languages ​​Building, located in the Tınaztepe Campus of Dokuz Eylül University, is located on a project area of ​​approximately 19,500 square meters. The building, which has a construction cost of approximately 50 million TL, consists of 6 blocks. Designed as a work of modern art, the building has 100 classrooms for 25 people each, 2 conference halls for 190 and 380 people with acoustic features, and 8 computer labs for 24 people. The building also includes study offices, a library for research, activity rooms, commission rooms and social areas.
