About Us

Established in 1982 as the Foreign Languages Coordination Office alongside the founding of our University, the unit continued its activities under the Department of Common Compulsory Courses. On March 27, 1997, it was officially established as the School of Foreign Languages by the Council of Ministers and formally began operating as the School of Foreign Languages on August 18, 1998. It continues to carry out its functions under this structure today.

The primary aim of the School is to equip students of Faculties, Schools, and Institutes that provide preparatory education with the necessary foreign language proficiency to successfully follow their academic courses.

The School is responsible for the planning, organization, and implementation of foreign language programs for the Faculties, Schools, and Institutes within our University. It provides foreign language education (English, French, German, and Russian) to preparatory class students across the University.

Located on our University’s Central Campus, the education building is equipped with modern audio-visual technologies essential for effective language instruction. For example, our classrooms are equipped with sound systems and there are three Foreign Language Laboratories. With its experienced academic staff and qualified administrative personnel, the School offers high-quality education and training.
